ELK GROUP INTERNATIONAL APPOINTS NEW CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER

Press Release

For Immediate Release

March 25, 2019

Nesquehoning, PA - ELK Group International announced today that David Pamer has been named Chief Executive Officer. Dave will be taking over the role of ELK’s long time CEO, Bradford Smith, who has been promoted to Chairman of the Board.

Dave brings with him both a leadership and functionally diverse background, starting his career in investment banking for six years prior to joining Cleveland, Ohio based Kichler Lighting as its CFO, and then expanding his Kichler experience into other disciplines where he held the positions of Executive Vice President, Supply Chain and Executive Vice President, Sales. In these roles, Dave was responsible for the analysis, design, development and execution of a comprehensive Supply Chain Strategy, and later responsible for the development and execution of a Sales Management Strategy and structure to accomplish market share and organic growth in the Company’s designated core and strategic growth distribution channels. In his role at ELK, Dave will work with owners, Mark Fludgate and Bradford Smith, to develop and implement a thoughtful growth strategy that leverages an already strong foundation built both through organic and acquisition growth. Additionally, his supply chain and analytical background will be instrumental in ensuring foundational processes and core disciplines are implemented for the Company to be consistent and reliable in the customer experience as they achieve new growth levels.

“I’m thrilled that Dave will be joining our team, he possesses a high business IQ and has an impressive record of delivering innovative growth strategies with high level execution throughout his career.”, notes Bradford Smith. “With over 15,000 skus in a wide range of home furnishing categories, our collective company has the depth and breadth across a myriad of price points that is unrivaled from any one company. Our focus is to create the gold standard in the home furnishing’s industry for product selection, service and delivery”, continues Smith.

“I’m very pleased to be presented with this opportunity to work with both a leadership and growth-oriented company like ELK, who I have known and admired over the years from competing with them. We are excited about the growth prospects ahead for the Company, however our first responsibility as we look to develop and execute our growth strategy will be to ensure that the focus be on our customers’ experience with ELK, so that we become their first choice for helping grow their respective businesses. That is a reputation that is earned over time, and I am confident with the team we have, we will achieve this focused objective”, stated Pamer.

ELK’s executive team will be attending High Point market this week to introduce Dave to customers and sales representatives at their newly remodeled showroom at IHFC Suite 402/403.

ELK GROUP INTERNATIONAL INTRODUCES HOME AND LIFESTYLE BRANDS

Press Release

For Immediate Release

October 10, 2018

Nesquehoning, PA - Home fashion leader ELK Group International is consolidating several of its furnishing brands into two distinct business units: ELK Home and ELK Lifestyle.

EGI has introduced ELK Home (www.elkhome.com) as a consolidation of their Dimond, Sterling and Guild Master brands whose common thread of design driven home furnishings made for a logical evolution in the brand strategy. ELK Lifestyle (www.elklifestyle.com) combines the Pomeroy and Old River Road brands, focusing primarily on entertaining, holiday and giftable items.

“The timing was right to move towards our long-term strategy of ELK branded divisions to follow the course of our flagship brand ELK Lighting and the parent company ELK Group. This streamlining will make it easier than ever for our customers to shop across various product categories, styles and price points.” said Bradford Smith, ELK Group’s CEO. “This migration is also seamless for customers in the fact that do not need to make any changes to take advantage of the benefits from this brand consolidation.”

The underlining brands will be jointly marketed with the newly named units for a period as to acclimate customers to the ELK branded divisions. The new co-branded consolidated catalogs featuring an “all-star” grouping of best sellers from each line will be debuted at the October High Point market. Also, as part of this transition, Guild Master has been relocated from the C&D building to ELK’s IHFC location C-402.

With the recent opening of two large distribution centers in the state of Georgia, this brand consolidation allows customers to order the majority of ELK’s product on one purchase order. The notable exceptions being Stein World, RyvyR, and Thomas Lighting products which will maintain their own programs and brand identities.

Earlier this year ELK Group also announced it was celebrating its 35th year anniversary with several promotions to celebrate the occasion.

ELK Group International, headquartered in Nesquehoning, PA, is a premier designer and importer of indoor and outdoor residential, designer and commercial lighting fixtures, decorative accessories and furniture.
